During the summer of 2015 we will be undertaking a project for Historic England (previously known as English Heritage) to assess the current status of these thatched roofs. This will be the first time such a comprehensive study has been carried out on thatch in Sussex and it will provide a valuable body of knowledge to the historical archive.
