I have commented on, and photographed, the Liesegang phenomenon  on many occasions all over the world.   I will use this Blog post to collate previous observations and to develop updates for a research project that started on 17th April 2020.   It is hoped that we will be able to observe the formation of the lime swirls in real time.

I have added a panel to a wall of my house and the panel will be used for periodic observations.   The lime mix is as follows..:

Mature non-hydraulic lime putty, slaked in October 2013.     Sharp sand.

1 part lime to 2.5 parts sharp sand, by volume.

I will update this Blog post periodically.
