The Lost Art of Earth Building: Using Mud To Make A Home – Around The World
Early human civilisations had to make the best use of the limited resources available to make shelters to live in.
Without complicated machinery or tools they managed to mix the soils into mud and then to use that mud to create walls. It was very heavy work and often suffered failure when the walls became too wet or too dry. Archeology shows us that earth building was done throughout the world – and it is still done today. This incredible lecture tells an otherwise untold story of what is very much a lost art.
