It dates from about 1780, with alterations in the early 1800’s. It was in the same family from new until 1952 and now (2015) is to be sold again. It has been passed down through the generations and to be on only its second sale in 240 years must presumably be quite unusual.

It is fair to say that the future owner will need it invest heavily into repairs but it is fundamentally a very solid house and will continue to be a lovely home.
